This is a critical task. Talk to anyone sourcing chips. The supply chain is vulnerable. This effort can harden America’s chip supply while enhancing our entrepreneurship!

#VirginiaTech researchers are working to find ways to turn food waste into biodegradable bioplastics. 🙌This multi-disciplinary project brings together faculty from various institutions, along with numerous graduate and undergraduate researchers to develop and demonstrate an affordable modular bioprocessing system to produce biodegradable bioplastics from food waste.

About 93 percent of road deaths occur in developing countries, and 75 percent of those involve motorcycles. To help relieve this issue, the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute is creating the Motorcycle Collision-Alert and Management System with the goal of reducing motorcycle related crashes.

Invasive ants spread by hitchhiking on everyday vehiclesWho had hitchhiking ants on their 2024 bingo card? 😅Insects are masters of transportation and get around by flying, crawling, swimming, burrowing, and even gliding. Now, ants have been observed using a new method of getting around.

Virginia 4-H camps are providing inspiring experiences for future #Hokies. 🧡Each summer, the W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center at Smith Mountain Lake hosts hundreds of campers, many on scholarship. During the camp, campers participate in activities that build confidence, foster friendships, and provide opportunities many participants wouldn't have otherwise.
